Benefits of Marble Countertops

The elegant sheen of marble countertops adds a timeless charm to any home, bringing a unique brightness that synthetic materials and other stones cannot replicate.

  • Natural Durability: As a natural stone, marble offers resistance to scratches, cracks, and breakage.
  • Cost-Effective Luxury: While it exudes sophistication, marble can often be more affordable than other natural stones.
  • Ideal for Baking: Favored by professional chefs, marble remains cool, making it perfect for pastry preparation
  •  Low maintenance: While marble isn't as dense as granite, it still requires very little maintenance.
  • Unique Beauty: Each slab of marble is one-of-a-kind, its distinct veining adds elegance to any room.

What is Marble?

Marble is a metamorphic rock that begins its journey to your project in a stone quarry, where large blocks are cut, removed, and prepared for processing. These blocks are “sliced” into thinner, more manageable pieces. Think of a full loaf of bread turned into slices of bread. The result is a building material that offers color, durability, scale, history, and full customizability for personal expression.

Durability of Marble

Marble is extremely durable. There is a reason why statues and buildings built thousands of years ago still stand today. Marble countertops do not hold or conduct heat, comes in a large array of luxury colors, but it is a porous stone, so it needs to be sealed for its protection.

Design benefits of using marble

Marble has always been associated with a refined and elegant design style. Its unique veins and luxurious appearance make it a material of choice for many interior design projects. Marble slabs are the perfect stone material for bathroom vanity tops, certain kitchen countertops, and sophisticated wall coverings. History has shown that this natural material deserves a place in any design plan. There’s an obvious reason why Michelangelo chose to form his iconic sculpture David out of marble.

Marble Countertop Finishes

Polished: A smooth surface with a glossy finish that reflects light. A polished finish highlights the pattern and color.

Honed: Honed has less of a shine and looks more natural.

Concrete: It’s a lightly textured surface that appears grainy.

Leathered/Brushed: Leathered/brushed feels bumpy or coarse to the touch. This surface is the most porous.
